Web Summit brand assets terms and conditions

By downloading or otherwise receiving Web Summit trademarks, logos, trade names, service marks, service names, or other distinctive features owned by Web Summit (“Web Summit brand assets”), you (“You”) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions (“Ts&Cs”) and guidelines. In the event of any conflict between these Ts&Cs, guidelines and any applicable written agreement (Partnership Agreement, etc) between You and Web Summit, the written agreement shall prevail.

Guidelines

All uses of the Web Summit brand assets must conform to the following guidelines, which Web Summit will interpret in its sole discretion. Web Summit reserves its right to amend these guidelines at any time:

No modification: Web Summit brand assets must be used as provided with no modifications.

No incorporation: Don’t incorporate the Web Summit brand assets into your own product name, trademarks, logos, company names, domain names, website title, publication title, etc. We permit the incorporation of our Web Summit brand assets with your social media profile image subject to you submitting your image to our Personalised Assets Portal. By doing so you warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions and grant same to Web Summit for the purposes of applying the WS brand assets to your social media profile image. You agree that such you of this Personalised Social Media Image (featuring the Web Summit brand assets shall be in accordance with these Guidelines and T&Cs).

No generic use: Don’t use the Web Summit brand assets in a way that suggests a common, descriptive, or generic meaning.

No confusingly similar marks: Don’t use the Web Summit brand assets in a manner that might create potential confusion as to ownership of the Web Summit brand assets.

No plural or possessive use: Never use the Web Summit brand assets in the plural or possessive form.

Domain names: Don’t register the Web Summit brand assets in or as part of any Domain Names.

Trade dress: Don’t copy or imitate Web Summit’s website design, typefaces, distinctive colour, graphics designs or imagery.

Endorsement: Don’t use the Web Summit brand assets in a manner that implies an endorsement by Web Summit, or that can be reasonably interpreted to suggest that any content has been authorised by or represents the views or opinions of Web Summit.

Merchandise. The Web Summit brand assets may not be used or displayed in or on merchandise.

Prominence: Don’t display the Web Summit brand assets as the primary or most prominent feature on your website.

Disparagement: Do not use the Web Summit brand assets in a manner that would disparage Web Summit or our products or Events.

Violation of Law: Don’t display the Web Summit brand assets on any web site that contains or displays content in breach of our Content Guidelines (available at: https://websummit.com/content-guidelines) or otherwise violates any law or regulation.

Objectionable use: Don’t display the Web Summit brand assets in a manner that in Web Summit’s sole opinion is misleading, unfair, defamatory, infringing, disparaging, obscene or otherwise objectionable.

Book titles: The Web Summit brand assets may not be displayed in titles of publications, including books.

Reservation of Rights: Web Summit is the owner of all rights in the Web Summit brand assets and reserves all rights save the limited license granted here.
